Girls Gone Strong (GGS-1)
Born and raised in Arizona, Ashley played volleyball at Mountain Ridge High School. She was a two-year starter at Glendale Community College on a full-ride volleyball scholarship earning Second Team All-ACCAC and NJCAA All-Region I honors as a sophomore and honorable mention all-league as a freshman. She transferred to the University of Alaska Anchorage on a full-ride volleyball scholarship helping the Seawolves to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championship title and graduated with her Bachelor's in Accounting.
Immediately after her volleyball career, she became a CrossFit Level trainer and joined CrossFit Alaska training CrossFitters and sport athletes and competing locally. During this time, she also trained the University of Alaska Anchorage Women's Volleyball and Basketball teams.
She lived in Alaska for over 15 years, hiking, fishing, and camping as often as she could. During her last four years, she ran a successful training business out of her garage gym, training sport athletes in private and semi-private sessions. She also trained school sports teams (volleyball and wrestling) in their weight rooms, held sport / training camps, and gave performance nutrition presentations. In these last four years, she has trained hundreds of sport athletes, mostly volleyball, basketball, and wrestling.
Ashley is married to the love of her life, Daniel Mendoza. They have two chihuahuas, Moose and Maggie. If she's not working out, training athletes, eating, or sleeping, she is planning her and her husband's next outdoor adventure or swimming and soaking up the Arizona sun.
Ashley is a highly driven, disciplined, and passionate individual eager to guide athletes through training and nutrition, improving themselves for sport and life.
