Julia is an assistant general manager and sports performance coach at the DRC. Her role at the gym dates back to when she was 18 years old as a member of the kids care staff. Julia took an internship role at the DRC to develop her skills for a career as a coach and manager in the fitness industry. She is currently the freshman volleyball coach at Deer Valley High School, as well as a head coach for Livewire Volleyball Club at the 16s age level.

Julia played volleyball at Sunrise Mountain High School where she served as team captain for her junior and senior years. She went on to play at Scottsdale Community College where she an Academic All American. To finish her volleyball career, Julia played Division II at Malone University (MU) in Canton, Ohio. She served as a team captain her senior year and helped the team to a post-season finish both years. Julia earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from MU. She is a CrossFit Level 1 trainer.

Julia was first introduced to CrossFit in 2013 when she started off-season training with Julia Larish. She loved how much it challenged her and soon became a strong advocate for the benefits it gave her on the volleyball court. She cannot wait to give this same experience to youth athletes and to still have the opportunity to be competitive as a retired college athlete.
