Steffani is the gymnastics coach at DRC. She aspires to help our athletes to gain confidence and aptitude on the bars, rings, handstands, and other body weight dependent skills by leading them through gymnastics drills and training. She is currently a women’s team coach at North Valley Gymnastics, and a teacher for Cartwright School District.
Born and raised in Colorado, Steffani was a gymnast for twenty years. She competed at the national level as a USAG club gymnast, and went on to compete college gymnastics for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. During her collegiate career, she garnered individual event titles, All-Conference honors, and helped her team win a conference title and a national championship! Steffani has a bachelor’s degree in elementary and middle school education. Not only has Steffani been involved in the gymnastics world as an athlete and coach, but she has also danced for the Russian Ballet in Denver, and was a long and triple jumper for her high school track team.
Steffani became fully invested in Crossfit when she moved to Arizona in 2015 and joined The DRC. She needed to find something that would challenge her to be the best version of herself physically, mentally, and emotionally, and Crossfit was the ultimate solution! She loves that Crossfit constantly gets her out of her comfort zone!
“The beauty of gymnastics, and anything really, is the feeling you get after reaching a goal-it’s a reminder of how far you’ve come, and what new things you are capable of pursuing!”
